Gilbane Development Company has garnered many prestigious awards for its work developing the waterfront communities of Surfside Narragansett and Wickford Point.
Surfside Narragansett is a development which transformed existing 1970s apartment units into luxury condominiums, creating a quaint style within Narragansett Pier Village that is in harmony with traditional Narragansett seaside architecture. The design highlights traditional Victorian, shingle-style architecture with charming latticework and intriguing turrets & cupolas, and the extensive landscaping reflects this historic community’s seacoast setting. The eco-friendly, Energy Star® rated development was recently awarded a 2009 Green Building Award from the National Association of Home Builders.
Wickford Point was once a dilapidated 80-acre U.S. Navy facility on Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island. Originally zoned for new luxury condos, Gilbane developers refigured plans with 103 classically styled, shingled homes that cozy up into an inviting seaside community.
